How to Connect Your Smartphone to the Touch Monitor
Before connecting your phone to a touch monitor, you should confirm that the phone complies with these two conditions: ①equipped with the USB-C port that supporting video signals output(DisplayPort Alt mode); ②According to the test result, the smartphone must be updated to Android 8.0 version or later to be able to output touch signals.
◆ Quick Setup
Step1.
Power on M505T Monitor
Use USB Type-C to USB-A power cable to connect 5V 2A adapter (or power bank) to the DC IN on M505T.
Step2.
Connect Samsung Note9 and M505T Monitor
Use USB-C video cable to connect the smartphone to the USB-C port on M505T for transmitting video and touch signals.
Step3.
Done!
Don’t forget to enable Auto Rotate on your phone so that when you rotate the phone to landscape, the image will be displayed horizontally on M505T monitor as well!
💡 About Landscape Display
Not all phone Apps support landscape mode. Though the latest Android version allows display in landscape, some Apps only apply to smartphone layout. Thus, these apps can only display proportionally on the external monitor in portrait mode.
Enable Samsung DeX and Extend the Phone to Second Monitor
◆ Switch to DeX Mode
Samsung DeX is a software included on the Samsung phones. When the phone is connected to an external monitor successfully, you can swipe down from the top to unfold shortcut menu and tap the DeX button to enable it.
