According to the statistics, people sit for an average of 7 to 12 hours a day. During this period, they seldom stand up to shift their body. However, sitting on a comfortable chair for too long will increase the risk of spondylosis, cardiovascular disease, etc. Even if you exercise for an hour a day, you can't counteract the negative impact of prolonged sitting. If sitting for long periods is an obvious crisis trigger, then "standing at work" might be a turning point!

Sitting and using the computer for long periods may cause drowsiness, distraction or daze. Increase the frequency of getting up, standing at work, and shift from a sitting position to a standing position every 15-20 minutes, which not only stretch lower limbs, but also increase metabolism, which help refresh mind and improve concentration. Apple’s CEO Tim Cook believes that it is a better lifestyle to alternate between sitting and standing postures at work. He encourages to switch between sitting and standing from time to time, and equips all employees with standing desk. People who engage in the fields of generating idea, research and development, design, etc. are more suitable to stand at work, which might activate unexpected ideas and increase productivity!
Let’s build a "flexible workstation" of your own!
Setup Tips for Ergonomics Desk -to improve hunchback, tech neck and shrugging
When thinking of standing at work, height adjustable desk should not be left unmentioned. For hand-eye coordination and viewing comfortably, the height of a desk should depend on the height of the user. Therefore, no matter which adjustable desk you choose, the same principles should be maintained: ❶ typing with your hands flat on the desk, ❷ with your feet firmly on the ground, and❸ keeping the screen slightly lower than the eye level, which perfectly avoid hunching over, standing on tiptoe, bending your head or shrugging.
✏️ Two Key points for Desk Layout
★ The desk should be just raised to a height where your forearms are naturally flat for typing. The wrist should not be floating or bending!
★ Setting the screen too low is a common misconception. If the laptop screen is too low, it is easy to cause problems such as bending over or glare on the screen. Raise the screen is necessary!
Pick the Right Monitor – with height adjustment & for Siting and Standing Dual Use
Once you find the right height for typing, the next step is to set up a suitable monitor.
We strongly suggest users not maintaining standing position for long hours, but alternating between sitting and standing. After all, move often is the original intention of standing at work. Therefore, the deployment of the monitor should be flexible. It is better to use the one that ensures comfortable viewing experience while sitting and can be elevated at the same time!
When standing up to use a laptop or a desktop monitor, it would be inconvenience that the height adjustment range is insufficient or impossible to be adjusted. Instead of stacking up or locking the monitor to a bulky clip-on stand, you can choose a relatively lightweight but stable and liftable monitor, and the viewing height can be adjusted with your height accordingly, which is the first step of making standing more comfortable at work.

✅ With a wide range of height adjustment (22cm to 34cm stepless height adjustment)
✅ Space-saving & stable base
✅ With quick plug-in monitor stand, able to use as a portable monitor
● Appropriate Screen Size
The depth of the desk is generally around 60~80 cm. Hence, the size of the screen should not be too large. For instance, the monitor for work with 1920x1080 resolution, the most suitable screen size will be between 15~21 inches. If a too large screen is used on a small desk, the tool bar, applications or information are scattered in full screen, you will need to move eyes or turn head a lot, which can cause eye fatigue. We recommend using the 16.1-inch M161H monitor, which is a very comfortable size for both sitting or standing use.

● Perfect for Glare Avoidance– Monitor with “Matte Surface Treatment” & “Adjustable Tilt Angles”
Under indoor fluorescent lights, the glossy monitor reflects light or surrounding objects like a mirror, which affects visual clarity and comfort when staring the screen for hours, and is more easily to distract people from work. The M161H monitor is treated with a matte surface to reduce reflections and glares, and can be tilted freely between 20° forward to 50° backward. In a bright office, the light sources from indoor and outdoor directly reflects on the screen, which hurts eyesight invisibly. Changing the inclination angles of the monitor is a more effective way to find the ideal viewing angle for your space.

● Stepless Adjustment for an Ideal Working Height
Lifting the M161H monitor, it will be an external monitor rightly on top of the laptop. The knob on the back of the stand allows to quickly adjust the height of the monitor according to different laptop sizes and build up seamless stacked dual monitors. Use the upper external monitor as the "main screen", and place the secondary app windows on the screen of laptop, expanding 2~3 windows at the same time. In this way, there is no need for an external keyboard. You can still use the laptop’s original keyboard while standing.
*Note: The height of the monitor should not be too high. If needing to look up, raising your head, it means that you need to lower the screen.
● Setup Triple Monitors or Multiple Monitors
Even standing at work, you can still use multiple monitors. Line up three monitors on top of the laptop, and use the laptop as a secondary screen. You can, for example, read reports or datasheets and reply message on multiple windows. All the information is clear at a glance with this kind of multi-monitor configuration.
● Not Only for Sitting and Standing, but Also for Switching Freely between Desktop Monitor and Portable Monitor!
The biggest advantage of the M161H monitor with the M1S4 stand except being quick installed or lifted easily, the M1S4 stand can be easily removed from the monitor. When you need to move to meeting room, go to customer visits, just press the quick release button and plug in the monitor’s original stand, and you can take M161H as a portable monitor with you anywhere!
