Not Only PD Charging! Android Phone Screen Mirroring by USB Type-C Port to Portable Monitor
2023/09/11 Update |By G.Editor
More and more manufacturers of Android smartphones, such as Samsung, ASUS, or OPPO, are adopting USB Type-C as the main interface. The advantages of the USB Type-C connection include a shorter battery charging time, the prevention of reversed connections, and furthermore, the ability to mirror the phone screen to a large external monitor.
Try Phone Screen Mirroring to Portable Monitor
GeChic offers a range of portable monitors, such as the M505E and M161H, all of which support USB Type-C (DisplayPort Alt mode) transmission and can be used as external screens for magnifying phones.
Plug & Play. No Converter or download APP required
Due to the limited battery capacity of the smartphone, it cannot power an external screen for a long perioed of time. It is recommended to use a power bank or an adapter to supply power to the monitor. Once the power source is connected and the monitor is powered on, simply use a USB-C cable to connect your smartphone to the monitor and easily expand the phone's display to a 15.6-inch/16.1-inch FHD wide-view screen!
Three Steps to Mirror Android Phone
The connection of mirroring Android phone by USB-C cable is super easy. Please follow the sequences of connection as below.
For 1306 series monitors with only one USB-C port, Gechic provides a special USB Type-C Video and Independent Power Y-Cable(0.5m) for mirroring USB-C smartphone content. This cable features three connectors: one for the smartphone, one for the monitor, and the last one for the portable power source. The third connector is included to allow the monitor to use an independent external power source, preventing the smartphone from outputting excessive power to the monitor, which could result in rapid battery drain.
✦ These Latest Android Phones Support USB Type-C DisplayPort Alt Mode ✦
Most of the USB-C smartphones often come with fast charging function, however, not all USB type-C ports support Displayport alt mode. The newly launched USB Type-C phones below contain video output to mirror screen to a display.
